Earthship Biotecture
An Earthship is a radically sustainable home made of recycled materials.
Electricity is from the sun with solar panels and wind with wind modules.
Water is caught on the roof from rain and snow melt.
Sewage is treated on site in interior and external botanical planters.
Heating and Cooling is from the sun and the earth.
Food is grown inside and outside.
Bottle bricks are a beautiful feature in any Earthship. The bricks can be laid in cement for end walls, partition walls or fill in around door frames. The bricks are quick and easy to make and cost just a few pennies worth of tape to assemble them. Academy student Mat Cerniglia walks you through the assembly process. Making and laying bottle bricks is just one construction techniques you’ll learn at the Earthship Academy.
