Thinking about switching to high ticket dropshipping on marketplaces

Barbadosso
Been selling on marketplaces for a while now and the margins on everyday stuff are just not cutting it anymore. Too much competition, too little profit per order. Started thinking about moving into something more serious, electronics, furniture, maybe outdoor equipment or home appliances. The kind of stuff where one sale actually means something. But before jumping in I want to know if it's even worth the trouble and how hard it is to actually find suppliers who work on a dropshipping basis for that kind of product.

The margins are definitely better but the stakes are higher too. Customers buying expensive items tend to be way more demanding about shipping times, packaging and after-sales support. Returns on a $800 piece of furniture hurt a lot more than returns on a $20 phone case. Finding reliable suppliers is doable but takes time, most of them want to see that you're serious before they'll even talk terms with you.

High ticket dropshipping has a real learning curve and a lot of people go in thinking the big price tags automatically mean big profits, which isn't quite how it works. There's a decent amount to understand about supplier relationships, platform policies and how to position yourself against established sellers before the numbers start making sense. Worth reading up on whether high ticket dropshipping is profitable https://easync.io/articles/high-ticket-dropshipping/ . Breaks down the actual economics, what categories tend to work and what to watch out for before committing to a niche.
